Leah Springman, Lighting Director |
|
Prior to joining the Radiance Lightworks team, Leah Springman worked as a Lighting Designer for theatre, dance and themed events in the Los Angeles area, as well as a project manager in the world of custom contract lighting. She also spent 5 years working in various design and managerial capacities at Utah Shakespearean Festival.
While her involvement with Radiance Lightworks has brought her design work into the world of architectural, trade show and themed entertainment lighting, Leah's design aesthetic remains strongly rooted in the concepts of lighting for the stage.
Leah received her undergraduate degree in Technical Theatre from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and shortly thereafter relocated to southern California where she earned an MFA in Lighting Design from UC-Irvine. Other work in the academic sphere includes a stint as a Guest Lecturer at UC-San Diego where she taught VectorWorks to both undergrad and graduate students. As Lighting Director for Radiance Lightworks, Inc., Leah's role allows her to influence the creative and administrative aspects of a job, both on and off the jobsite. This duality perfectly suits her desire to design as well as the urge to unleash herself from her desk whenever possible.
